Lovely, easy, little keepsake to remember how small they used to be!

I've been meaning to make these since my eldest son was 6 months old. (he is now 3 and almost half :) I never got around to it, until this weekend. I was a bit skeptical about how good they looked on the original post here. But I was surprised on the results. I had to bake a bit longer than they recommend, and then i laid out in the sun for about a day after painting, but I am pretty happy with them, and I cant wait to have another excuse to make them as gifts!

All you need is:

1/2 cup of salt
1/2 cup of regular flour
1/4 cup of warm water (I actually used a bit more, I think my flour was extra dry or absorbent)

Knead into a nice not sticky and not crumbling dough— so smooth and stretchy is what you want.

I placed the dough into a large bowl in order to fit my 3 yr old's hand and shaped it into a circle like that, then imprinted his hand, and tried to write his name, I think you can tell a little from the photo.

Bake at 200 for 3 hours. (ovens vary)

voila!

Easy, beautiful and fun!
